The word Bathu is South African township slang for a shoe. The Bathu brand, founded in 2015, is driven by identity and the passion to design unique shoes that tell a proudly South African story to the world. Baloyi has since succeeded in establishing an African premium sneaker brand, selling these must-have fashion items in SA, Swaziland, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia. The shoes are locally manufactured with material sourced from Lesotho.
